Albert is a seasoned community development professional with over thirty years of experience in youth work, social enterprise, and pastoral leadership. His journey began with a 14-year cycle with the Diocesan Youth Commission in the Archdiosese of Malta, followed by three years as president in an international youth movement where he excelled in fundraising, project management, and international training.
For more than 10 years, Albert founded and directed a successful social enterprise in Malta, which included a fair trade gift shop, a print shop, and a cafeteria at different stages. A venture dedicated to providing opportunities for students, social supporters, and individuals seeking a fresh start.
Since 2020, Albert applied his expertise to pastoral roles within the Archdiocese of Malta. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he led and mobilized a 120-person team to provide essential food services, later spearheading the establishment of a soup kitchen and a thrift shop as a collaborative effort of the island's 70 parishes.
Academically, Albert holds a Master’s in Youth and Community Development from the University of Malta and is a certified Gestalt Coach.

In this leadership capacity, he made a name for himself in fundraising, global project planning, and international training.
In 2012, he co-founded and directed a successful social enterprise in Malta, which included a fair trade gift shop, a print shop, and a cafeteria. This venture was dedicated to providing opportunities for students, social supporters, and individuals seeking a fresh start.
Since 2020, Albert has also applied his expertise to pastoral roles within the Archdiocese of Malta. His extensive practical experience is supported by strong academic and professional credentials. He holds a Master’s in Youth and Community Development from the University of Malta and is a certified Gestalt Coach. Albert also serves as Assistant Registrar and Head of Student Advisory Services at the University of Malta, where he leads a team providing key career guidance services.
Drawing on his background in people management and strategic planning, he currently serves as a part-time Senior Lay Pastoral Officer with the Archdiocese of Malta, while also providing International Training and Consultancy in Community Development.
